Where (physically) are my...

Where (physically) are my downloaded emails and related stored? In files on my personal computer or in some thundercloud somewhere?

Technician's Assistant: Who is your email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.)?

Local ISP named Dcanet (wilmington, DE).

Technician's Assistant: How do you usually access your email? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?

Laptop or desktop PC. Have Mozilla Thunderbird icon that dcanet set up for me. I click on that and it comes up.

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

The email works just fine. It appears that downloaded emails are now resident in my computer, but not sure.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Email Expert to know before I connect you?

I would like for downloaded emails to be resident on my computer, and erased from a cloud or wherever. Before thunderbird I could specify that.

I just click on desktop icon labeled Mozilla Thunderbird and my mail comes up. ISP Dcanet set it up for me.
