Our email was compromised...

Our email was compromised yesterday & we received 3,000 junk emails. We changed our email address & were told to notify Thunderbird to make the change

I am not sure what you are asking.

Are you saying you want to cancel one email from your thunderbird and then readd the old email?

To get started, I need to know what type of computer you are using, a Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or a Mac.

If its a Mac, please check the OSX version as follows, Click the apple sign at the top left of your screen, then click about this mac. And then where it says version, send that to me as a reply.

Yes, but from 'where'.

People access it different ways.

Such as the email client built into the computer, you mentioned thunderbird as an email client, a web browser,

through outlook etc.

I need to know your set up and how you want to access that email to continue.

Perfect. So you are requesting that the new email is taken out of thunderbird and the old email added back?

We received 3000 junk email on***@******.*** yesterday so we have disabled that address & have a new address -***@******.***. I was told by Spectrum cable that we had to notify Thunderbird to be sure this change was made

I do not understand notify Thunderbird?

If you are using your thunderbird as access to your email, you would add it there.

Is this email added to your thunderbird already or do you need to add it to thunderbird?

Is the old email in thunderbird still and you are accessing it though there?

Please clarify.

We have not tried accessing through old email since we disabled it & have not yet tried the new email. Was told to contact thunderbird before trying to access email today. I am becoming more confused by the minute. Apparently I am "chatting" with someone from thunderbird
