I'm frustrated! Cox changed...

I'm frustrated! Cox changed some of their e-mail codes and since then I can't send or receive e-mail. I have Outlook Express 5.02 of a older computer. I've added their new codes, etc., but to no avail. Can you help me?

I have a Cube and a newer iMac. Having problem with the cube. No, I'm not logged in on any device.

I can. One other thing, the computer I'm having problem with is an old Mac and I doubt that you can connect remotely.

Ok.. but you saud you use Outlook express. that is only for windows.

Outlook Express 5 is the Mac Edition. I have version 5.02

Power off the mac

Then start the Mac and hold down the Command and R keys at startup.

Hold these keys until the Apple logo appears. After your computer finishes starting up, you should see a desktop with an OS X menu bar and an OS X Utilities window

choose Disk Utility from the Utilities window, or from the Installer menu if you're started from an installation disc.

Click the First Aid tab.

Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.

Select your Startup Disk (usually named "Macintosh HD").

Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.

Let this complete and when it has, tell me if you still have the problem please.

Error 3259. The operation timed out. Server my be down, overloaded, or too much net traffic.

I think this problem has more to do with the server codes that Cox changed. It shouldn't take long to send.

What is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?

Since 2/23/18. That's about the time Cox changed their coded. I've copied everything that COX sent to solve the issues but to no avail.

Pop port 995SMTP Server: smtp.cox.net
SMTP Port: 465
