You will need to enroll your device with Google Device Policy App if your IT administrator has set up Mobile Management in your company; so it looks like that's the issue here.

Could you allow/install the Google Device Policy app when prompted this time, and check if this allows you to add the work email account as well?

Look the only people having problems is the Android phone the I phone people don't have to download the stupid app
