I’ve always received my gmail thru theenvelop on my home page. 2 days ago it all started coming thru my gmail app. I want it back like it was originally. Help

My name is David.

It sounds like your Gmail settings may have changed, perhaps after an install or update. To reconfigure your Gmail account to work with the standard Mail app on your iPhone do the following:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" section.

Select "Add Account".

Select Microsoft Exchange as the account type (do not choose Gmail).

Type in your Gmail address under Email. Leave the Domain field blank and enter your full Gmail address under Username (including the @gmail.com, @googlemail.com, or other suffix). Type in your password ***** enter a description.

Press the Next button near the top of the screen. If a message appears stating "Unable to Verify Certificate" just select cancel. Type m.google.com in the new "Server" box at the top of the screen. Then tap Next to complete the configuration.

Then test to confirm that your Gmail is now working on your phone.
