Outlook 2007 error 0x80040154 won't send or receive mail

Technician's Assistant: Are emails stuck in your outbox or are you receiving an error message?

No message is stuck just send/receive error

Technician's Assistant: Are there any antivirus or firewall settings that could block you from sending mail?

I have Norton and firewall for a long time but never a problem

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Email Expert to know before I connect you?

I uninstalled I Tunes and re-installed an earlier version due to problems with a recent update. Next I have an e-mail problem. I solved the ITunes problem. I just did a full scan and repair on the default pst file but didn't help.

I set up a new mail account with the suggested settings and still doesn't workI am not interested in having 2 step verification every time I check my e-mail which is an ongoing thing during my normal work day.

I speculate an app password ***** ***** must for your Outlook on W7, hence two-step verification is required. Basically that's why I prefer a remote session as I can fix this almost instantly.
