I have received...

I have received two requests to confirm a purchase which I have not requested. The email gives an option to cancel the request but requires me to enter all details including credit card. I am suspicious and do not see why I should enter all details to cancel the request.

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

None as the issue is whether all my access details and credit card detail are required to cancel a purchase request that I want to cancel

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Email Expert to know before I connect you?

The basic issue is I cannot tell whether someone else is trying to acces my system and whether it is normal for Apple to require me to renter all access details and credit card details to cancel a request

I'm sorry about the issue. Those are fake requests. It is a scam, so please do not follow any instruction in it; do not provide any information. The Apple / iTunes will never ask you to provide personal information or sensitive account information (such as passwords or credit card numbers) via email. Please always ignore any email or phone call that you do not know or that you are not expecting.
