I've changed to outlook 2016 and I'm having major problem with my desktop outlook and iPhone application. everything worked fine in outlook 2013

Technician's Assistant: How do you usually access Outlook? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?

Through a lab top (desk application) and iPhone 7 application

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

I've reinstalled outlook on desk top and iphone, tried to combine different outlook files in one new file. In the meantime I have 4 files and none of them is complete. On the desk top I'm constantly getting a warning message from IMAP, file too large. On the iPhone, I see new emails. After open them I'm getting the message "You've reached Inbox Zero" with no mails showing

The destop also shows that something is synchronizing all the time
