In the last 2 hours I have received over 1000 emails from bogus senders all over the world. What do I need to do to stop this?

Spam is the right place to go.I guess your Index means Inbox. Correct?If you do see other spamming messages in Inbox and Promotions, just select them in bulk then click the Report Spam button to move them in to the Spam folder. That's it.BTW, please try searching your own email address on Google and see it has been exposed to the public.

sorry, the inbox not index. All of the emails were equally distributed among the three. I have deleted all of the bogus emails. Others are still trickling in on the spam and promotions folders in ones and twos, but not like they were this morning. They started soon after I replied to an ad on Craigslist this am. The ad was legitimate, but might have been corrupted.
