Sent E-mail to Age...

Sent E-mail to Age of Empires III support team a few days ago about problems in initializing the game, but have not heard from them. Does AOE III still have a support team?

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

Game was purchased through Steam, who I first contacted, and they gave me the E-mail address for the AOE III support team, who have yet to answer my E-mail.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Email Expert to know before I connect you?

I don't think it's an E-mail problem, it's a problem with Microsoft's Age of Empire III software.

The Microsoft tech person who responded to my request for help by telling me to click on a link that sent me to Just Answer did not tell me that by doing so I would not only be authorizing a $5 refundable deposit, but agreeing to a further much larger charge if I was satisfied with the answer provided. You did nothing wrong, but Microsoft's rep certainly did. The game in question is available through Steam for $9.99, so no way would I have authorized any non-refundable payment much less one so large.Please let me know what I need to do to have my $5 refunded in a way that will not reflect negatively on you since you did nothing wrong, she did. As a Microsoft rep, she should have had access to the correct E-mail address for AOE III support and not referred me to an outside party at my expense. I certainly will support any efforts on your part to obtain a payment from Microsoft for your efforts.By the way, I do have a beef with Just Answer. In order to be able to read your response I was forced to click a disclaimer box without seeing the details of the conditions I was accepting. I was given no choice other than to click the box.Sincerely,

Pete -Haven't had a chance to call customer service yet and am heading out of town this morning, to return Sunday night. As you know, I asked for your assistance in getting my $5 refundable deposit back from Just Answer and after I contact customer service there is a possibility I may be asking for your continued assistance. I will be happy to rate your service once my request is acceptably resolved.
