Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

Verizon.net switched to AOL but I kept my old email address which was the***@******.*** It has been working until AOL asked for my user name and password ***** it wouldn't take. I have tried everything and I cannot get it to take my user name and password. Tried calling they gabve me a number. It didn't work either. Very frustrated a couple of weeks now.....

Did verizon switch you to AOL ?

verizonswitched my .net to AOL but AOL allowed my to keep my old address. Apparently something has happened and now I can't access my email. It has been more than two weeks and you can imagine what my email looks like by now. Please restore my email so I can get on with my life. Thanks.

I have been using my old address for at least six months now with no trouble. I just log in with my old address: ***@******.*** and my password: Br145#7etlkt53 no problem until now. AOL will no accept this.

There is a procedure to properly migrate from verizon to AOL. They sent out emails to everyone, if this has not been done you wont be able to use the verizon account on aol while the switch is pending. This is what i am trying to figure out?

The switch was made months ago and they allowed me to keep my old Verizon.net address with no problem until now. Now
AOL will not accept the user name or password. Please help.

Last week my grand daughter sat down and accessed the account in minutes. We thought it was straightened out and next time I went to get the email it asked for the user name and password ***** it wouldn't take it. What about it? Why wouldn't it just keep going right into my email as usual instead of asking for the information every time I want to look at my email? I just don't get it.

It didn't cost my grand daughter anything to get into my email. I guess you will not do it free of charge. I think that is very unfair of AOL. Not your fault but I feel that is a rip off to have to pay for a service that shouldn't cost anything. What do you think?

P.S.Verizon never charge for any troubleshooting. I have used them several times over the years and it never cost anything. Does that mean you will not fix the problem then unless I pay? I'm 85 years old the sole care giver of my invalid husband, on a fixed income and that comes first. Just can' t justify this. Appreciate your time and wish you a wonderful holiday season.
