My problem is that my NZ Vodafone e-mail account is about to be closed by Vodafone who will forward to my Gmail account. I have a gmail address which I've never used. The account address is stored on my smart phone and I believe this gmail account was opened for me when I bought my smart phone in March this year. For this reason I do not know the password. Google's sign-in system has defied my attempts, and those of a tech friend, to access my gmail account. All that happens is that I enter the Verification code and the next Google caption states: "Couldn't sign you in. Thanks for verifying your e-mail.
