I am running an...

I am running an outdated version of Ubuntu. I need to erase my hard drive and reload Ubuntu 16.04. I want to reload 1. my Thnuderbird emails stored in folders, and 2. my complete Address Book and Calendar.

Technician's Assistant: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using?

Can you provide me with a procedure to accomplish those Tunderbird items?

Technician's Assistant: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?

Only by clicking on the Thunderbird icon on my desktop PC. I am not aware that requires one of my web browsers to be open.

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

I have not had any trouble with Thunderbird. my problems stem from using an outdated version of Ubuntu. I have not used Thunderbird Troubleshooting.
