I cannot open an attachment . . there is no "open" option when I click on the icon

Okay, please answer my questions so i may help you. What browser are you using, internet explorer or Chrome? What error are you getting when you try to open your email attachments and what is the file format of your attachment, is it word, excel or PDF?

Internet explorer - the file format is word - I do not get an error message when I attempt to open the attachment, the problem is that when I click to open the attachment there is no "open" option

further the file I am trying to open is a word document. I have tried to open other attachments that are excel and images but again, there is no option to "open".
The choices available are: select all - print- inspect element-view source

  • Click the settings icon on top right corner
  • Open internet options
  • Clear the history by clicking on delete, check all the options except passwords
  • Click delete
  • Restart the browser
  • Try opening the attachement
