My Google Account (via Chrome) doesn't show my gmail. How do I sync my existing gmail into the account?

Technician's Assistant: How long have you had this issue with your Gmail account?

I dont know. I'm trying to update my account to work with my new cell phone.

Technician's Assistant: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?

If at all, phone, a few times. My main emails are with comcast.net , so I rarely have used gmail. My new Samsung phone/account needs to use gmail for access and security.

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

I just tried entering my existing gmail address and it just says I need to set up a new account.

Apparently you didn't read the question. The website already allows me to set up a NEW account. However, I ALREADY have a Gmail account. I need Chrome to accept my existing Gmail into the Chrome account.

Ok. In that case, can you please go to settings of the chrome browser. Go to Manage other people and then Add Person considering you already have a GMAIL account.
