Lost gmail password. finally received verification code. indicates still cannot verify

Technician's Assistant: How long have you had this issue with your Gmail account?

Two days. have not had to use password ***** quite some time as password ***** saved so no log in required. gmail worked fine until that point.

Ok are you on a computer right now? Can you try again and get a new verification code? There is a time limit on them and I am thinking that may be why it didn't work.
