The server for account "Me" returned the error "[AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed." Your username/password ***** security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password? this is the error I get when trying to add my @me email account to Outlook for Mac tried everything

I just started using Outlook for Mac so just now confirmed password ***** email followed instructions

Have you tried changing the password ***** your email account online, using safari?

And then updating the new password ***** mac mail?

I changed password. Still same error message

Did you change it online with safari?

And then update the new password inside mac mail

try deleting the account and then re-adding it using these settings.
