I have connected my gmail account to Mozilla Thunderbird. I was working from the inbox to create seperate folders to clean up my gmail account, and was deleting unwanted items. I then went into the bin and deleted all items and it asked if I wanted to delete permanently and I clicked yes. Now everything has disappeared from my inbox and all the folders I created. Please can you help me to recover these. My gmail account is***@******.***.

Close Thunderbird

Press the windows key and R and type in

%appdata%

Press enter

Then click on appdata at the top then on the folder local

Then right click Thunderbird , choose properties

Then choose Previous Versions

Then choose a date before this issue happened, let it complete and open thunderbird and check if the emails have returned please

ok, then your only option is to use this form and request the emails are returned

complete the form and allow up to 78 hours. If the emails are still on the server, then the emails will be returned to your account and Thunderbird will download them again. If after 72 hours, the emails are not there, you will not be able to recover them as this is the only backup you have available.

I would then recommend you invest in a backup drive and start to do this regularly to avoid this situation again.
