I have outlook 7 and for months when I open outlook I keep

I have outlook 7 and for months when I open outlook I keep getting a message to enter my password. I just reset it I thought and restarted my computer but I still get that message when I open outlook.
JA: How long has this been an issue?
Customer: For about 6 months so I stopped using outlook.
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: I have a gmail account.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I found one that said to reset Microsoft password ***** I tried that but I keep getting the message. I did that this evening.
