I have two emails in my sent folder that have been there

I have two emails in my sent folder that have been there since March 2015. When I attempt to delete them I get a message that says: "An unknown error has occurred" I have never been able to delete them. Can you please help me?
JA: Are emails stuck in your outbox or are you receiving an error message?
Customer: They are stuck in my "Sent Box" and I just want to get rid of them but cannot the Message: "An unknown error has occurred" is the only response I receive when I do try to delete.
JA: Are there any antivirus or firewall settings that could block you from sending mail?
Customer: You are speaking with someone who is 70 yrs old and I know very little about what my Norton 360 can do.
