Customer Question

I created a subfolder under my personal folder. I did not like how it looked and deleted it. But that deleted my personal file. I had a lot of emails in there that are important. How can I recover them?
JA: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using?
Customer: Google chrome gmail
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: Most often, at work on a computer, through google chrome.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I phoned an IT guy I know. He said it should reappear. I tried to format the computer, but my computer is Windows 10 and I could not find how to do it.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I can think of.

Someone told you that if you deleted your subfolder in gmail, that you should reformat

your pc? Are you sure that is what they said? That will never help you if you went into and deleted it. Gmail emails are kept on a server of their own. If you deleted it from your gmail, then your pc has zero to do with this. The only thing i can see why this would reasonable is if you added it

to a client like windows live mail or thunderbird and deleted it from there.

Can you tell me exactly how you deleted it? From the email client on your pc?
