JA: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using?
Customer: yahoo via verizon
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: through pc..it was synced at one time
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?

In order to sync your phone with your yahoo mail you will need to setup a imap account on your phone.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > Accounts.
  2. Tap Add Account.
  3. Tap Email.
  4. Enter the appropriate info (e.g., Email address, Password, etc.) then tap Next.
  5. If presented, tap the appropriate account type (IMAP).
    If not presented, account setup has completed. Skip to step 8.
  6. Enter the appropriate info (e.g., Username, Password, etc.) then tap Next.
  7. Enter the appropriate info (e.g., SMTP server, Port, etc.) then tap Next.
    email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
  8. Configure the appropriate options (e.g., Sync schedule, Peak schedule, etc.) then tap Next.
  9. Enter an account name (optional) then tap Next.
