I can't get Google to open. I have re-installed using the

I can't get Google to open. I have re-installed using the download etc.but Chrome nor Google will open. I can get to Google from within AOL
JA: How long have you had this issue with your A.O.L. account?
Customer: You don't understand. I don't have a problem with AOL. I cannot launch Google using it desk top icon nor from the program file. Problem exist for about a month. I even right clicked on icon a chose an earlier time point but did not help.
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: Lap tops and desk top. I have an aol email address but not Gmail
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: none
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I'm not sure an email expert the right person, but just getting the application to run after it been installed is the problem.
