I had to reset windows 10, losing all apps. I had stored

Customer Question

I had to reset windows 10, losing all apps. I had stored lots of emails in internal Thunderbird folders. I have now downloaded and reinstalled Thunderbird/ Is there any chance that those old emails are still somewhere on my hard drive and recoverable?
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: With my computer? 3 or 4 years. But I'm not at all proficient in managing it.
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: Through installed Thunderbird connected at an email server at my university.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It's not a matter of troubleshooting. I asked a question about possibility, not how to do it.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I gues not.

It depends on how it was reloaded.

Is there a C:\Windows.old folder? Were there any other files that you had still there after the reload?
