Then, what happens when you compose a new email, and then try to send it?

Is there an error message at any point, please? if so, tell me what it is.

(If you have not tried to log in to your email, and if your email has been logged in all this time, try logging out, closing all windows on you computer, then restarting your computer, and trying logging in again and try to use email again.)
