My sent e-mails are not being received by my out of state

Customer Question

my sent e-mails are not being received by my out of state clients. thunderbird states that they were sent successfully, but they are not received. also a notice comes up in thunderbird that our mail server is not an IMAP4 mail server. This notice has been displayed for some time but the problem of e-mails has just started
JA: Who is your email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.)?
Customer: I receive email from DREAMHOIST. I only use thunderbird to send out my e-mails. return e-mails go to Dreamhoist
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: I only retrieve my e-mails form the office computers or my lap top
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: looked at troubleshooting but not sure conditions match mine
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no just that I do not understand how thunderbird states that the e-mail was sent successfully but my clients do not receive them. I sent a test to my employee and he received the e-mail??
