My Lexmark X 1270 quit functioning so I followed the manual

My Lexmark X 1270 quit functioning so I followed the manual and uninstalled the printer software. When I tried to reinstall the software fro my original CD I got the message "Installation package not supported by this processor type". The printer was working perfectly for a long time previously. Also, when I tried to install a Windows 10 driver all went well until I was asked for a "code" - A search of my original invoice for the purchase & all documents that came with the printer did not show any "code". Can you help me?
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: I have been using it since July 2007.
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: Only through my desktop computer.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Restarted the computer. Attempted to make the Lexmark the default printer numerous times with no success. Uninstalled the software as suggested in the manual & tried to reinstall the software from the CD.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is it possible for the expert to send me a software installation package by email that I can run on my Windows 10?
