i accidently deleted my gmail account. when i re-applied, using my preferred name/number, the reply said "no good"
JA: How long have you had this issue with your Gmail account?

When you delete a gmail account you cannot make a new account with the same name right away. That said, if it has been within 30 days you can recover the deleted account.

All you need to do is reset the password, just go to the following page and enter the address for the account you deleted and go through the recovery process to get the account back.
