Hello. My name is***** to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily.

Unless you changed your settings or saved them to a folder and still have comcast account access?

Email deletion settings program XFINITY Connect to remove old messages from your Inbox, Draft, Sent and Trash folders automatically. These settings apply to the date of the email; the default settings are listed below.

  • Inbox (unread): 45 days
  • Inbox (read): Never
  • Sent: 30 days
  • Spam: 3 days
  • Trash: 1 day

Can you still access emails and have service with comcast email?

I all ready know that. I am looking for emails that are 7-8 years old

Then this is the question. Did you change your save/deletion settings?

If you did not, the settings above is what it is defaulted to for comcast auto deletion.

You can only try to 'see' if there is anything to restore like this:

Recover Deleted Emails

  1. Right click on Trash (CTRL + click on Mac computers with single-click functionality).

  2. Select Recover Deleted Items.

  3. All items available for recovery will be displayed.

  4. Highlight items that you wish to recover, then select Move selected item(s).

  5. Select the folder where you wish to place the recovered items and click OK. The items will be moved to the selected folder.

If you cannot recover them (this is the only way, they wont be on their server either if you didnt change settings yourself)

You can prevent future deletions by changing the settings this way:

To Edit Email Deletion Settings

  1. Click the Preferences tab at the top of XFINITY Connect.
  2. Click Email.
  3. Choose Email Deletion Schedule.
  4. Select a setting for any or all folders.
  5. Your changes will save automatically.

One of the most difficult things with tech support is giving answers

correctly, but may be bad news. Did this answer your question? If so, please rate this question and i will

close it out as resolved/no longer needs assistance.

Or do you need further support?
