My son deleted my Hotmail account!! I need it! but can't

Customer Question

my son deleted my Hotmail account!! I need it! but can't find a way to get t back. about two weeks ago (he turned 18) he wanted to get off my account & on his own for xbox so he thought the only way to have his own identity on this account would be by deleting me! and instead he deleted the both of us.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I'll be happy to assist you.

The good news is unless he specifically went and chose to "deactivate" the account, then your account will be fine.

Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

Do you know if this is what he did?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I believe he did just that.

hello?! what's my answer??
Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

If you go to https://outlook.live.com/owa/ and attempt to log in, what does it tell you?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I've tried this already, it tells me account is not recognize or exist
Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

Ok, thanks. Your next step would be to contact Microsoft directly. You can contact them from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus?forceorigin=esmc&wa=wsignin1.0

Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

I don't believe the account is fully closed as there is a delay so there is a good chance your account will just need to be reactivated and you'll be back in business.

the problem is I don't know how to communicate with Microsoft direct. I have hundreds of link options & I don't know where to go to get the help I need.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think if I paid you $42 I should be able to get more help that this please!!!
Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

I understand. You do not have to pay unless you're satisfied with the help. The issue is I cannot restore your account since I do not work for Microsoft.

If you follow the link I listed then click on Accounts & billing, you can choose an option to have Microsoft call you as soon as possible.

Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

Or, you can chat to a Microsoft tech which would probably be the quickest method of communicating with someone.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok, I see just stay with me. i'll try this.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
first option didn't work a sing in to my account pop up.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

It looks like it will require you to sign in too, for chat. Have you tried calling their support at 1(###) ###-####

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
hello!
Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

I'm sorry to hear that. You are not being billed for this session.

Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

I surprised though because it takes 270 days before the account is fully inactive.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
but I see in my account that I was billed already.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you'll remove the charges in my bank account than?
Expert:  Breland replied 1 year ago.

I do not have control over the billing but if you do not accept the answer then you will not be charged. But just to be sure, it may be a good idea to speak with our customer service to make sure you are not billed. They can be reached at 1(###) ###-####
