Customer Question

How do I open a folder in my computer named: C:/Users/Mary/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird
I use Windows 7.
A few months ago all my emails inexplicably disappeared and I have finally found them in the above location. I just don't know how to open this file folder.

Hi Mary,

Are you trying to navigate to that location but can't?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can get there. Apparently I need an "application". M.
Expert:  Josh replied 1 year ago.

Correct -- You would need to open the file within Thunderbird itself.

In Thunderbird, select Tools then Import then import the file

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This option does not provide for me to enter what I want to import,.i.e. the specific folder. Other suggestions?
Expert:  Josh replied 1 year ago.

There is no need to import the folder -- You would want the file(s) within that folder.

Can we start over? I have a folder full of old Thunderbird emails. I don't know how to open it. I certainly don't know how to open any files in that folder. Assume I am completely illiterate. I do well with: Step 1, Step 2. etc. Mary Ann

Also the Thunderbird import function imports mail only from other email programs.

Do you mind if I connect to your computer?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Only if you don't try to steal my mortgage.
Expert:  Josh replied 1 year ago.

No worries there :)

I am sending you the remote offer, please accept it when it appears.

Sorry, Josh. Retrieving the emails is a low priority. Right now it's not worth an additional $20. I will contact Just Answer when I REALLY need to look something up. I would also like the $40 I paid refunded. How do I go about doing that? Thanks for trying.Mary Ann
