Since this is a new machine the easiest way to fix this would be to reset the machine and start over fresh with a new account and password. To do that start or restart the machine so that you are looking at the login screen (but don't try to log in yet)
While holding down the Shift key click the power icon in the lower right corner and select Restart.
Release the Shift key when you see "Please Wait"
When the Choose an Option screen opens click Troubleshoot
then click Reset this PC to start the recovery process.
