I recently started getting messages on outlook that it cannot connect to the server. I have removed my account and added it back, but still issues. No problem when just my Hotmail account...but using my Time Warner Cable account, get the message.

About a week ago. I've called my IP but they say it's not them...and I tend to agree since Hotmail account works fine....don't think it's so much connection to server, but an issue with synchronizing folders.

Usually those error messages have more to do with the connection between your computer and the Hotmail server, which can be caused by an anti virus' firewall.

What anti virus have you got and does it come with a firewall?

I have a windows firewall and I use Norton Security.

Thank you, ***** ***** disable Norton Security completely for 10 - 15 minutes? (It should be one of the options when you choose to disable it) then try your email and see what error you get.

I discovered it was not firewall. Uninstalled outlook connector and reinstalled and it's working again.
