I am having a problem deleting from my Junk Mail column and

I am having a problem deleting from my Junk Mail column and my deleted items column in my Windows Live Email program. It supposedly deletes -- the column goes empty ---but I get an error message--- and the next time I delete an email from my email program all the ones that I had thought I had deleted before are back again. As I said this happens in both the Junk Mail box and the deleted items box.
