Are you receiving some sort of error message?

Also, are you able to sign in here with your email and password?

Please answer both questions.

yes i am recieving error messages
been unable to sign in

If you're not able to sign into the link I gave you, your password was likely hacked/changed.

Did you have talktalk issue you a new password?

It's the most common problem nowadays.

Follow this guide:

Once finished, attempt to sign in again

If you can't sign into your account, there's literally nothing further we can proceed with until that happens. After you can sign in, if Windows Mail is having issues, then I can fix that no problem.

Are you able to sign in on this page now?

With your email address and password.

I can send receive on talktalk mail but i want windows back

Expert:  jnayes replied 4 years ago.
That's what I needed to know.

I needed to make sure your password was correct, that's the VERY first step. Thank you.

On this page, click My Account on the top right. Click edit password. Set your password twice, then click save changes.

Click my questions, then click our question name to return to me. This is in case the system logs you out.

Alright, now close Windows Mail.

Go to start, type wlarp and hit enter. Wait a moment. It should pop up, select repair (may say reinstall, but usually repair). Continue with that procedure.

When it's finished, try Windows Mail again.

If it's still not working, we'll move on to the next step. Be sure to let me know the results and that you've completed that step.

still not working but have to go out now for evening

No problem, there's no rush on this and I will take care of you.

I'd like you to try one more thing when you can and return to me after and let me know. If that doesn't work, we'll do a remote session where I will fix it directly (no additional charge).

The step I want you to do is as follows:

Go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore.

Click next. Check the box (ift here is one) to show more restore dates. Select a date prior to whent his issue began and continue with the restore. You will not lose files or data doing this process. It will restart your computer when done.

Allow it to do so, and you can return to me via the links in your email (webmail, not windows mail obviously).

After the restore, try Windows Mail again, return to me, let me know the results good or bad and then we'll go from there.

bad result tells me pop3 not responding

We'll have to do a remote then so I can see what's going on.

Please click this link:

Click the orange button and then run the file that it downloads. At the top middle of your screen is a 9 digit ID. Reply back to me with that ID. Once I connect you should get a prompt to allow, do so.

You were unable to solve my problem BUT you have taken £25 from my bank account PLEASE refund as soon as possible. It would appear that talktalk no longer use windows mail please refund my £25 thank you

Expert:  jnayes replied 4 years ago.
First off. I, specifically, have not taken anything from you. It's a deposit, and clearly stated to what it's purpose is.

Secondly, the last we left I was waiting for remote for ~ an hour but you disappeared.

Lastly, talktalk cannot decide which mail client works with them anymore. Windows Mail can work with Talk talk, but it's a bit dated.

It seems to me you don't actually want this issue fixed or you would have responded earlier, which is not a problem, as our service (all clearly written) is 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

So if you want a refund of your deposit, you are free to do so. Instructions are in the help section.

If you want to actual resolve your issue (once again, there's no such thing as Talktalk saying Windows Mail no longer works with us, it is 100% impossible to say we allow these mails clients, but not these ones) let me know and I'll try to get you squared away.
