This answer was rated:

got a 'looks like someone else may be using my email account' from Hotmail yesterday.
I did 2 attempts to get a new access code; "enter first car, recent email subjects, recent email addresses" but not having any luck. I got to have my account opened asap. My business relies heavily on this account! HELP PLEASE!
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'll be happy to help you today. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your e-mail.

If for some reason you're not able to get past the security questions, what you'll need to do is submit a request directly to the Windows Live/Hotmail team for a manual account recovery. After submitting the request, they will contact you directly and work with you to prove ownership of the account and to get you back into your e-mail.

You can submit the request via the following link:

After you enter in the account you're trying to recover and an alternate e-mail address where you can be contacted (if you don't have an alternate address, then you'll need to open one with another service like Yahoo, Gmail, etc) then it will have you fill out a form.

On the form, fill it out completely as possible to prove ownership of the account.

After that, the Hotmail team should contact you to get the account recovered and get your password XXXXX They should contact you ASAP, though it is dependent upon how many other requests they are presently working through.

If you have any other questions on this, just let me know. You can always get back to me via the "Continue the Conversation" tab.

the link you gave me is the same page I have tried already. 'account recovery'.

this is where I am having problems.... 'not enough info to prove ownership'.

Hmm. . .

In that case, there's only one other support avenue that Hormail provides for recovering accounts. What you'll want to do is post your issue on the official Hotmail Support Forum. The administrators there are members of the Hotmail team.

For more info on how to do this, please see the following article:

will go to that link... do you need anymore info? I can't see a question from you... 'more info is needed from Chris' ??
No, I don't need anything else.

Go ahead and post your issue on their forum and they should work with you from there to do everything that can be done to get you back.
