Panasonic cordless line goes dead during a call. I get a busy signal and pause appears in window. What is wrong? I do not see a pause button

Technician's Assistant: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?

Purchased January 2017. Model KX- TGE 433B

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?

For the past two months. Charter/Spectrum was here today to "correct"the problem. And it just happened again

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?

I think I have inadvertently done it but don't have a clue how, nor how to correct it if Idid.

Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?

Nothing else on this line
Line is from a cable company
I do not think it happens on two of the three handsets

Thanks for the info. This would indicate a bad handset then if it happens only on the one. The one thing you may attempt yourself is to fully reset the system:
1) unplug both power and phone lines from the main base.
2) remove batteries from all handsets
3) wait at least 15 minutes, then restore all
4) place a handset on the main base for a minute, as if to charge
5) check for functionality
