My dell pc will not boot up after I enter the login

My dell pc will...

My dell pc will not boot up after I enter the login password. the screen goes grey, and all I can see is the mouse arrow.

Technician's Assistant: Can you guesstimate how old your Dell is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

It's about 8 months old. an inspiron with intel core 13

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Started yesterday. I did a cntr/alt/delete and brought up a window from which I went to task master.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?

In task master I noticed that WiFi was not connected. don't know if that's necessary

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the power cable from the Dell and hold the power button for 60 seconds.

Release, then connect the powr cable and try to turn on the Dell.

I did as you said. When I turned the Dell on, the following appeared. "It looks like windows didn't load correctly" "If you'd like to restart and try again, choose 'restart my PC below. Otherwise choose 'see advanced repair options' for troubleshooting tools and advanced options. If you don't know which option is right for you, contact someone you trust to help with this."
