Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?
4) Do you have dsl service on the same line?
5) what happens when someone does call you? Busy signal, voicemail, error message, endless ringing, etc?

phones have been working perfectly untill this problem occurred

so when you say no on #2, you mean no other phones at all (like a regular corded or wall phone), or you have some but they have the same issue?

this is an nbn issue, not a panasonic issue. If you are getting an incoming busy signal, that is a service fault.
As a next step, please unplug power to your nbn modem for at least 5 minutes,

replug, wait another 5 minutes for it to start up, then test the line and let me know if you can receive a call at that point.
