I have mx-900 from universalremote, looking to allow it to program new cable box
JA: What is the exact make and model of your tv? And how long has this been an issue?
Customer: it's not an issue with the tv it's an issue with the remote
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: the UniversalRemote.com remote was working fine mx-900 until i got the new comcast x1 cable box which must be a different brand of cable box
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: it's been an issue since i got the new cable box
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

You will need to program the MX-900 to work with the new X1 box.
