If you look on the front of the safe, straight down from where the indicator lights are,

on the front of the safe, below the keypad area, you'll see a small hole.
Use a pin or paperclip to press into there, then slide that cover off to the right exposing the battery compartment inside.

Replace the 4 aa batteries and put the cover on and the safe should return to normal operation.
