My projector is focusing through the top area of the lens

Customer Question

My projector is focusing through the top area of the lens causing the body of the projector to be pointed toward the floor to see the image on the wall
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: Optoma tx635. Not sure on age
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just set it up. While inverted its exactly opposite. Pointed at ceiling to get projection on wall. No internal settings help move center the projection
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's all I have

It sounds like part of the light focussing components inside the projector has come loose.

Is the projector new or used?

Are you setting it up for the first time?

Do you know who used it previously?
