Customer Question

how to increase the volume on a call?(not the ringer but the volume I'm hearing on my handset) it is so low I cant hear my caller/recipient of my cal. my model is KX-TGL-460
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: KX-TGL-460 phone only 4 or 5 months old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: about 6 wks. my operating instructions are not clear for this. I can change volume of ringer, just not for call itself. I reread the pamphlet and scrolled all over to find my answer and no luck.
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?

Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble, but I'll do my best to help you. Please give me a few moments to review your details here.

Expert:  Nathan replied 6 months ago.

While you are actively on a call, press the UP button repeatedly, and this will increase the volume, while the down button will decrease it.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. Otherwise, please take a moment to rate my service as this is the only way I am credited for my time. Hopefully I have earned 5 Stars but if not please let me know what I can do to ensure you are satisfied. I also invite you to contact me directly with any future support needs at and ask for Nathan.

Thank you, ***** ***** a nice day,

the up button on the front /display are doesn't accomplish this nor does the + button on the side of handset!
Expert:  Nathan replied 6 months ago.

The +- buttons on the side are what I was referring to, those should do it.

Are you sure you're doing this while on a call (talking to someone).
