Hello, These symptoms sound like your HDMI cable has failed, or the Blu Ray player simply needs to be reset.

To do this, shut your TV off and then unplug the Blu Ray power cord from the wall outlet.

While it's unplugged, remove and reconnect the HDMI cable between the player and the TV on both ends making sure it's secure.

Plug the player back in and turn the TV on.

Attempt to power up the player and let me know what happens.
