Customer Question

I'm trying to reset my code. I lost my code and manual and don't know how to get inside
JA: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Yes I double checked it and the make and model is
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: The model is the Sentry Safe SFW123ES and the serial number is ***** and I lost the manual with the default on the back on it and the trash had been picked up and I don't want to pay $20 for a new code. That's ridiculous
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

That situation is no doubt frustrating. If the manual with the default code is lost, do you have any 'user code' to open the safe with? if so, try that user code.

Also to be tried: default codes like

I tried the code that I thought I programmed it with and it's turning red.

Red means an invalid code or combination.

Try the default codes, please.

Then, regrettably, you may under the circumstances simply have to apply to Sentry Safes to have your combination (default, factory, or registered) rendered to you.

Such application generally requires a certified or notarized copy of the bill of sale for the safe to accompany it, in order to validate you as the owner of the safe.

Do you need further instructions on how to go about making this application to Sentry Safes? it seems to me to be the likeliest approach to getting a working code back again, for your safe.
