I recently purchased your vcr-dvd combo model DV220FX5. the vcr tape when inserted comes up on the screen as no disc. since the disc is only for the dvd,how do i correct the problem Robert m

Customer: funai dvd player vcr model DV220FX5 purchsaed fro pc richards 2 weeks ago. submitted warranty as instucted

Customer: ever since I set up which was last week. checked all input and output jacks .they seem to be in order

Hi there and welcome

With the VCR in, press the VCR button on the remote (to the right of input) and this will then switch it to VCR mode and it should then work.

What does it then do?

ok, remove the power to it (so disconnect it from the wall)

Wait 5 minutes, power it on (still with VCR in it) and then press the VCR button

What then happens?

still reads no disc

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted, this now confirms it.
