My name is ***** ***** I am another Safes expert, here.
I just wanted to clarify some information re: changing the batteries on your V260 safe.
There is a plastic panel under your keypad, that is rather long. Look for a very small hole toward the left or center of the panel. Put a pen point or the end of a paperclip into the hole and press in; as you press in, slide the panel off, to the right.
Inside, you will see your battery holder; disconnect and remove. Take out your old batteries and notice if there is any corrosion like rust or leaked battery acid in the holder; if so, wipe it out with a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, then dry completely. Insert your new batteries and reconnect the battery holder, replacing it in the safe door. Slide the plastic panel back on, by sliding it to the left.
Changing your batteries will NOT void your factory set combination; however, if you have added a programmer PIN or user combination, those will need to be reset.
I'm including the owner's manual for your safe, so you can see all the instructions yourself and for future use. As you can see, your safe may have come with an override key, that you can use in emergencies, to open it:
I hope this helped you further and was easier to understand!
Please be so kind as to rate my answer with positive feedback, as that is the only way I receive recognition for my assistance. Thank you very much!
