Hi Collin,

When you say it is not responding, do you mean there is no sign of life at all?

Is there any power getting to the system?

Is it making any noises?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Pete,No noise, no sign of life at all [eg the cassettes do not eject at button presses]; power to cord entering unit confirmed, but wondering if there might be a fuse within the metal case. At this point, I have removed the unit from its [jukebox] enclosure, after disconnecting control lead and audio cable.

There isn't any internal fuse however can you continue testing voltages inside to find where the power stops?

Also test the switch in case it is faulty.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will attempt to measure the voltage inside the case ... but there is no external switch. The unit simply connects to a socket with a two-pin plug. The socket voltage checks OK and the two-pin plug has been replaced just in case that had developed a fault. The unit is marked "Tested OK" in 2004 ... and has been working ever since until quite recently.

Ok, let me know how you get on with the voltage checks...

Hi Collin, just checking in on your question. How did things turn out for you?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Still to test internal voltages. Not my field, so hopeful of a friend's assitance with that.
