Customer Question

We have an HP Laptop and we can't seem to get it to work. We suspect a virus got into it. We ran a system check on it and everything checked out ok. The only note that appears is "#10008 Replace hard Disk 1" We don't understand this. Can you tell us if our computer can be fixed and information recovered? Will it be costly? Our email is***@******.*** Please contact us as soon as possible. Thank You.

Hi Patrick and welcome to JustAnswer,Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...Initially, the described symptom and displayed system message almost always point to an internal hardware issue. More particularly, the most likely suspect would be the 320GB SATA 7200RPM HDD (hard disk drive). Are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach? If yes, please click HERE to inquire for a replacement.Unfortunately, if the currently installed HDD could not longer be recognized, accessed nor read, then the stored information inside would have very little chance of easy recovery.
