My Casio Pathfinder Model 3172 watch is giving a 20x beep

Customer Question

My Casio Pathfinder Model 3172 watch is giving a 20x beep alarm at 2:06 AM every day. I have only one alarm time set to 4:30 AM and the normal alarm signal is only 10 beeps. How do I turn this 2 AM alarmoff?

Hi there and welcome Paul

Can you check that the countdown timer is not functioning? As this can be the issue.

Please let me know

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Richard, the countdown timer is set at 10:00 min but it is not running
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, you can set 5 different alarms

Can you check all 5 alarms please and its then likely one of them is set still

Alarm 1 is set at 4:30 AM, Alarms 2-5 are off. I did check that previously.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, turn off R/C mode and tell me if it then alarms please

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
In R/C mode I turned it to off and no alarm sounded. But in that mode it says 3:04 what is that?
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

It is when it gets a time update for synchronising.

Now we see if the alarm sounds again

Hello Richard, with the R/C mode on or off the watch Alarm still sounds at 2:00 AM....what else can we do??
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

If there are no alarms set for this, its the firmware that will be at fault, we have ruled everything else out.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the watch to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the page, then submit, that would be greatly appreciated.
